It was a pleasure to reunite with the community last night at Philanthropitch Philadelphia, presented by TD Bank!
We gathered in-person for the first time ever in Philadelphia to celebrate the dedicated work and impact of five non-profit organizations: Called To Serve, Challah for Hunger, Beyond Literacy, ACHIEVEability, and eClose Institute.
Thanks to the generosity of corporate supporters, judges, audience members and YOU, Philanthropitch Philadelphia 2021 raised $118,000!
Each non-profit shared impact stories during their pitch about the many Philadelphians their programs reach, from young scientists, to college students, to adult learners, to unemployed residents. The Judges and audience alike were impressed and inspired by their work uplifting underserved communities.
We were pleased to have three 2020 finalists from Philanthropitch Philadelphia join us on stage at the event. Having former finalists present checks to this year’s finalists was a special moment.
In all, more than 400 votes came in for Philanthropitch Philadelphia, and thanks to the community, we raised more than $23,000 from the online and in person voting and additional donation option!
Thank you for giving your support to the finalists, both virtually and in-person. We also want to thank our sponsors and finalist funders who believe in our mission and made this event possible. Finally, thank you to the larger Philly community who rally around each of these non-profits every day, and make sure their work is amplified!
Jeffrey S. Harley, Executive Director of finalist organization Called to Serve CDC, says,
“I was so encouraged by the support and knowledge from the Philanthropitch team. Thank you all for what you do!!”
As we conclude another successful Philanthropitch event, we’re inspired to continue helping non-profits scale their innovative business models and reach more people who need their services.
We’ll be back in 2022 to invest more into our communities at Philanthropitch!
