Adult Basic Education

Beyond Literacy’s Adult Basic Education Program helps learners improve their reading, writing, and math skills. Proficiency in these areas is a game-changer for people who are otherwise unable to attain employment, thrive in school, gain citizenship, and pursue other life opportunities.

Our Learners range in age from 16 to 80, speak over a dozen languages and carry a wide variety of skills and life experiences. Our students face great challenges and strive for success against tremendous odds, however, they each share one common element – the desire to learn, to achieve, and to live a better life.

Beyond Literacy tailors instruction to meet each student’s unique needs. We offer in-person class instruction, remote learning, and hybrid opportunities. Encouragement and a positive environment are keys to helping our learners gain both the skills and the confidence needed to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Our services include:

Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies

High School Equivalency Exam Prep (GED® and HiSET®)
