Beyond Literacy’s Student Support Program provides essential support to learners in all classes and tutoring groups. SSP offers transition support to post-secondary schools and job training programs, career coaching, job readiness instruction, and digital and financial literacy workshops. Student Support Staff hold one-on-one meetings to help learners stay on track and make referrals to local social services agencies when needed.

Utility workers earn an average of $20 to $46 per hour plus overtime. Energy Companies are Hiring! This 8-week, no-cost class gives you a head start.

Beyond Literacy’s partnerships with Philadelphia Works Inc., PA CareerLink® take our students from learning to earning. With a pipeline to employer partners such as PECO and PGW, our workforce development classes prepare learners for transformative, family-sustaining careers.

Beyond Literacy also offers affordable and flexible Associate Degree opportunities through Harcum College, taught evenings onsite at our West Philadelphia campus.
