Workforce Test-Prep

In a city where 50% of adults read and comprehend at a 5th grade level or below, BeLit breaks barriers by providing instruction and work-ready skills in a supportive environment.

Through fast-track, high-impact learning, we equip all adults with the 21st Century skills needed to earn employment in family-sustaining jobs. Our no-cost classes give learners a head start. Our evening Zoom test-prep classes prepare learners for the CAST (8-weeks) and TECH (10-weeks) tests, the entry point to high-wage energy careers such as:

✔ Ariel Line Mechanic (CAST) 
✔ Underground Mechanic (CAST)
✔ Overhead Transmissions Line Mechanic (CAST)
✔ Designer (TECH)
✔ Designer Construction Consultant (TECH)
✔ Transmission and Substations Testing Technician (TECH)

    These tests are used for placement in jobs at PECO and related contractors.  Enrollment in the class does not guarantee employment with PECO or any other company.

    *Participants must have a High School Equivalency Diploma (GED or Hi-SET) or High School Diploma to participate in classes.
